Pros
It costs a fair amount, but it also is very forgiving. Runs relatively cool with a conservative boost. Downsides are to use the rgb.

These sticks are fast, stable and very flashy. Rgb is vibrant with unique design too. I also like the fact that it all comes as one packaged set.
The memory is faster than i could have hoped for and the heat stays normal using the included fan. The ram is fast and cool without a doubt. Heatsinks are a little larger than normal ram sticks but produces excellent speeds at stock mhz.

Cons
Corsair dominator 3466 is a * speed and unsupported by any manufacturers. Will not work without a lot of fiddling and under the stated speeds. The rgb looks good but it effectively doesn't help when running the ram. Corsair and its completely unstable... Read More

The hp overboost software dont show that you can overclock any more after replacing the ram with the dominator ram.
They were trying to sell me another one saying it is compatible with the one i have.
Price
For, being older memory - running at 3000mhz - the price is way too high.
Ridiculous that it costs this much money.
Speed is off the charts but the current price is just out of control.

msi rog strixx gaming has this overclocked at 3000mhz max while stable with a ryzen 7 3700x 4050mhzamazing light array.
Great stuff for the new ryzen motherboards.
I actually downclocked this ram to 3200mhz.
I have a ryzen 7 5800x (alienware aurora desktop) i purchased my desktop with one 16 gig stick of ram.

In the age of ddr4 when even the base speed of 2133 mhz is more than enough for 95 of applications and games and spending hours and hours tweaking speeds and timings never yields more than a 1 performance improvement ive typically spent very little effort when shopping for it

I was even less enthused when rgb ram started becoming a thing especially with those first vengeance sticks that corsair released with the rainbow fin on top

I laughed at people who bought them but upon building a custom loop this past week and seeing a blanddark area where my existing dimms had lain i decided to hypocritically order these newer platinums which admittedly have a much more attractive rgb layout than the original vengeance sticks did
