The transfer began at a very high rate for about two seconds seemingly near theoretical 40 gbps likely due to its cache burst then continued to transfer at a steady rate over the next few minutes to achieve the results mentioned above

I ran the speed test on my 2021 m1 macbook pro16 in exfat because thats what its formated to straight out the box and it was nice but not close enough to what its advertised as but 2200 read write is still really good but when i formated to apfs
