Pros & Cons
Pros
Psu still at 57c. Loads more power than i need, but i was looking for a modern design psu with modern topology, rather than the usual psu's that are ten year old designs.
Highlights
Quality
Top quality psu and will last years
Using it for a week with a mixture of games and dev work, system power draw has hit around 800w at peak - no problems at all with the psu.

I expect they assume most people buying a hx1500i probably end up buying custom cables to match the look of the rest of the i side of their case so kept costs down but not providing the braided sleeved type cables

Setting a custom fan profile cooled it to 35c but the minimum you can set the fan to is 40 and its most definitely audible at that in an otherwise silent pc

On default fan curve it went back to 57c
