Pros & Cons
Pros
This thing is absolutely insane. Beautiful color effects and insane cooling. Works with intel or amd chipsets and includes the necessary brackets for both. One nitpick is the clips that come for an am4 motherboard. My newest rig has this product and 6... Read More
It keeps my 5800x nice and cool around 29-31*c coolant temp. The ideal temp for any cpu is -40c, but the burnout is usually >120c, and you don’t want to go above 80c much for longevity of the device. It takes up much less room than many large air-c... Read More
Cons
The wraith stealth cooler is much quieter and unless you're running super hot, the h100i water cooler is useless. It's too bad because this kept things about 5-8c cooler than the wraith spire that came with my 2700x. It just shuts down due to over tem... Read More
I’m astounded at how these are essentially garbage right out of the box. A solid product is blemished by awful customer service. They have not even corrected the backplate/standoff looseness they definitely know of.
Fans are daisy chained into the actual pump head. At least the pump continues to operate so my cpu does not fry. No pump pumping water.
Will contact the mfg but not holding my breath.
Highlights
Quality
I would not hesitate to buy any corsair product
Functionally this aio cooler runs perfectly and is obviously of excellent build quality so i really couldnt be happier
I was hesitant with the mixed reviews regarding pump noise level and all that but nope
I have the ql fans in my case and didnt want to mix and max with the ones stock
Price
The price is literally for the name corsair
Competitiveness
The fit is a little strange for an full size nzxt cases but it does fit just fine
Id normally take off a star for corsairs icue software but its less an issue here than with a keyboard or mouse
In other words not a gaming pc
I have an am4 motherboard with ryzen 7 3800x

Cooler functions good but it does not connect directly to the motherboard therefore you will constantly get cpu fan errors when starting the pc because corsair software fails to tell the bios that it has cpu cooling control

One thing not mentioned or shown is that you must have a native 5pin sata connector on your power supply you cannot use a molex to 5pin sata otherwise your pump leds will not turn on

The leds on the ml 140 fans are quite dim compared to my mf120 cooler master rgb fans

Anyways i instantly set the radiator fans and the pump to extreme cause i like to see those fans go vroom vroom and i quickly learned that this thing doesn’t produce freaking any sound at all even when the pump is at 2000 rpm

I played for 6 hours and my cpu never even exceeded 50°

It’s a good cooler but the cooler itself isnt the issue it’s the rgb pump
