Pros & Cons
Pros
Great value and well made. Looks incredible and performs great! It's a decent water block and it’s fairly straightforward to work with even for an inexperienced user. Everything corsair releases is top notch.
This review is for the rtx 2080 * water block. Performance is great, it gets a 19c delta for me and has no trouble with my xoc bios. Works well for gaming on my 3090 but doesn't have an option for an active backplate to cool the backside vram.
This water block is a beast and very idiot-proof as all you need to do is align the screws and that is it. It is simply disassemble and assemble again. They make their products easy to use whether your a novice or an expert. Also, i have an icue comma... Read More
Purchased this block for a full corsair custom loop. Comparing it to the ek water block (which i swapped for this) shows there are some areas with no contact on the block. Keeps it much cooler than the oem fans and looks prettier too!
Cons
Corsair barely includes any thermal pads. Not good at cooling vrms.
Highlights
Quality
The quality of the manufacturing was top notch.
Overall very satisfied with the purchase, seems a waste to get the controller from corsair if you have 5v rgb headers on your mb.
There isn't much contact with the backplate.
That explains why i had problems with the vector.
Price
All in all not bad especially for price.
Packaging/appearance
I was under the impression this was a working component out of the box.
If you strip a head though, since the heads are soft, i was able to get the screws loose by just pressing hard with a small fla... Read More
Was grossly overpriced but due to the mass outtage everywhere didn't have a choice.
Competitiveness
The xg7 rgb (rev b) is a perfect fit for my evga 2080 xc (reference) card.
Performance is great, it gets a 19c delta for me and has no trouble with my xoc bios that can pull upwards of 550w.
Beware of evga ftw cards - which are normally longer than reference.
I had to reseat 6 different times to make it get decent temps(48c on full load).

Thats a real bummer as it feels like im missing out on a lot of the aesthetics if i dont spend 80 on a controller just because of two devices in my box
