Pros & Cons
Pros
This is a great replacement for the standard keyboard that you started with, and a good first step toward a more leet rig. It offers excellent performance, comfort, and value for the price. It holds up to its competition and has that corsair build qua... Read More
Comes with a hand rest that's plasticky whilst being comfortable. The wrist-rest is durable and the perfect size. Rubberized feet have a nice grip even on a slick surface.
The fact it's spill proof was a definite plus for me. I seem to always get crumbs in my keyboards. The rgb is fantastic.
The corsair keyboard is much quieter than the hyperx keyboard. The * on the corsair keyboard are twice as quiet as my hyperx one. Since i'm not particularly fond of excessive noise and typically have a headset on, the quieter and less clacky feel of t... Read More
Cons
This keyboard is very infuriating. The palm rest that comes with it is terrible, so if that matters to you, then get something else. After using this keyboard my game counter strike 2 started to randomly *. Pretty depressing. Would not recommend throw... Read More
With the keyboard plugged in, there is a delay before the intro even launches. Another known problem with disconnect/reconnection that isn't going to be solved (because its not financially worth it to fix it for a small subset of users) the icue softw... Read More
The only way to control the macros reliably is to use the icue software (over 1gb in size for the download, inexplicably) using different macro key didn't help.
The number row is the highest point on the keyboard and then it * down slightly to the f keys. Lighting is bright around the keys and the keycaps themselves are so poorly lit that it prevents you from seeing the key itself.
Highlights
Quality
It gets the job done, is sturdy, easy to use and install.
This is a great wired keyboard for every day typing and office work, and adds a little fun factor with the rgb lightning.
- these keys are clunky and are actually louder than a regular keyboard.
Contrary to real gaming keyboards, the keys are not clicky or have mechanical operation feel, which are not expected from membrane keys.
Price
Amazing, for the price is all you can ask.
Overall i believe this keyboard is exceptional for what it is and really great for the price.
The entry price is good, without needing to pay the premium for non-membrane switches, swappable keycaps, etc.
Overall for an entry level gaming keyboard at a low price point so one can’t expect the high end features.
Packaging/appearance
The keyboard came well packaged and looks and feels like very sturdy quality.
Competitiveness
Overall, i like this keyboard - and this is coming from someone that has used the same brand for years!
I think it sits well at its price and very competitive to other brands especially when you consider the software can control a ... Read More
It's just not up to the quality of corsairs normal offerings, but it's also 1/5th the price.
It's pretty, but the clicks aren't as satisfying as those of their more expensive offerings.
