Pros & Cons
Pros
It looks and feels professional, and it doesn't have the abysmal gamer styling. Looks fantastic and performs well.
The wrist wrest is removable and i don't use it, so i can't comment much on it. The only caveat is that the wrist-rest that comes with the k70 is hard plastic.
There's a brightness button that switches between 5 brightness levels and off. Back light functions are pretty cool with the different custom set ups. Icue macro/customization options is even better!
Cons
I'd rather get rid of the additional usb connector. This is the only corsair product i have ever returned. That should be reserved for products that have been opened and returned without any noticeable usage. Corsair support is garbage!
Hitting the keys creates a horrible audible and prolonged ringing. During work everyday, i usually end up wrestling with this keyboard at least a couple of times, with the keys sticking and slow responsiveness. If my keyboard can't produce the keystro... Read More
It just randomly stops working. It just freezes. Windows stops recognizing it. Disabling the keyboard and enabling it doesn't help. Plugged into 2 different computers and got the same response.
Software frequently glitches, fails, and hogs resources on the computer. Corsair's godawful software insists it is white when i have red blaring in my face. Rgb is not bright at all as well.
The shrill, loud, metal-on-metal ping noise makes this keyboard totally unusable. It drives me crazy, with an audible high pitch noise even from a few feet away. This is a major issue with most mechanical keyboards that used to not be there.
Highlights
Quality
The build quality is solid, and the dedicated media keys are a nice bonus.
The corsair k70 rgb pro is a top-tier gaming keyboard that delivers exceptional performance and customization.
If i couldn't solder, i would've gone with blues because they're so light anyways, the tactile response in games and typing is ... Read More
Wanted keys to be all white but you must buy additional software you can only have red or running various lights at purchase
Price
Although it’s a bit pricey and takes up considerable desk space, the k70 rgb pro is worth every penny for serious gamers
Competitiveness
Comparing with the previous model, i can easily tell the hollow sound in the old version.
