Pros & Cons
Pros
It is beautiful and a workhorse. Comparable to a decent summer storm. Corsair makes very decent products.
The only bummer is amazon charged me twice for the last purchase of the ml140 pro. The fans are awesome - magnetic levitation and it shows. Thank you seller and amazon too and also dhl (because i recall delivery was relatively quick and safe) the only... Read More
R12 has liquid cooling and a somewhat modest gpu. This fan is great for additional cpu cooling if the cooling tower supports it. This is the version with the lighting that stays on all the time.
Ml120 fans provide ~30% higher rpm at the same sound volume as the sp120 fans they replaced (also by corsair) the 120mm flow what the hd 140mm so with higher pressure. High rpm with the 120 pro topping out at 2400rpm.
It works well. Put those in. Highly recommended. Vinaka from fiji. Overall great fans.
Cons
Corsair ml120 pro is supposed to be quiet, but only not at full speed. It's about as loud (and annoying) as an old vcr cassette tape rewinding. At low enough rpms that you can atually bear to listen to them, they don't move hardly any air at all. At f... Read More
Each fan has scratches on the concave side of 2 consecutive fins. Leds are more of a yellowish color than white. Perhaps this is what causing the fan to creak like on old corroded wheel.
Corsair noctua or ek meltemi fans fall short. When i got a replacement from amazon, thank you amazon, that fan did not have any rgb nodes that worked. Amazon delayed my refund for whatever reason.
Highlights
Quality
Haven’t used them yet but the reviews are great and corsairs quality are above standard so i trust that they will do the job.
Very quiet but with the possibility to ramp up.
Obviously, when the fan with the failed led was in position 1, fan 2 and fan 3 could not operate.
Wanted all my fans to match since i got these same fans with the h150i elite capellix cooler.
Price
The cost is a bit high, and the noise level is definitely noticeable, but i hope long lifetime and reliability make it still worth it.
Competitiveness
I bought a pair of 140mm for the intake on my fractal focus g case.
Replaced a nidec upper fan on a alienware aurora r11 that was loud when idle.
My sp120's had a 50% failure rate.
The 120mm flow what the hd 140mm so with higher pressure.
