Pros & Cons
Pros
They are pricey but worth it. Even when compiling and pushing webstorm to its max. Well-built, quality pwm fans.
Corsair 120mm fans are just as good as noctua 120mm quiet ones but it appears the general opinion is the noctua may be quieter. These fans cool things down while spinning at a silent 600rpm under normal use and intelligently ramping up when gaming. Th... Read More
Rgb is nice although it’s not addressable like corsairs other models. The only complaint i have is with the orientation of the rgb leds on the fan hub itself. But the fans are awesome - magnetic levitation and it shows.
Fan can be connected to most modern motherboards for added cooling. Great for additional cpu cooling if the cooling tower supports it. Had to order a fan header splitter lol, it runs great!
Cons
Fan is *-eyed when placed through the computer holes and into the fan. Stickers on the fans are out of alignment, so when they spin, it looks like the fan itself is wobbling. Huge point of contention with these fans and apparently rgb in general is th... Read More
At low rpm they don't move much air and the lighting is so dim at that point that why bother. No rubber grommets means that you're likely to hear increased vibration noises as the fan harmonizes with your case. If the component being cooled is critica... Read More
They are unfortunately obnoxiously loud. It's about as loud (and annoying) as an old vcr cassette tape rewinding.
Highlights
Quality
I honestly have no relevant opinion in this regard but as for the quality vs cost of this fan, i am very happy with my purchase (got 2).
Overall, very satisfied with the purchase and would buy them again.
Obviously, when the fan with the failed led was in position 1, fan 2 and fan 3 could not operate.
Some people might find them too loud if they're going for a more silent build, but i'd imagine most everyone else would be sati... Read More
Price
The cost is a bit high, and the noise level is definitely noticeable, but i hope long lifetime and reliability make it still worth it.
Packaging/appearance
Each individual led is addressable through the icue software provided by corsair.
Competitiveness
I bought a pair of 140mm for the intake on my fractal focus g case.
Corsair is a terrible company that makes the crappiest products do not buy!
I installed these as bottom intake fans on my nzxt case.
70% better performance than 1300 rpm ultra-silent fans.

However im a bit disappointed that it sounds like they are hitting the fan casing – i ordered another set to see if it was just the one i ordered at first but it seems like they just make that noise

Honestly though if youre wearing headphones while gaming or working then you wont hear them unless they spin up – which like i said can be avoided by setting the fan curves appropriately for your pc

After installing them i found that they were quieter than the fans that came with a case and though they only have four leds each the light is wonderful see video and image
