The psu fan does indeed turn offon occasionally but you cant hear this

It is replacing an antec 550w supply which was larger less efficient and noisier that this corsair psu

For me the cable lengths werent perfect better if a little longer maybe 10 and the cables were bit on the stiff side finer wire gauge strands would help
