Pros

Bought this for my new 4070 * super. Not ideal, but also not a deal breaker for me. Used it with 7800x3d 7900xtx setup. Also use their memory in all my builds. Support for up to 32gb of gb storage.

This replaces an older model that outlived its warranty by several years.

Desktop ps also supplies power to my schiit modius dac. All corsair products are top of the line. Corsair. Dac.

Cons

Never did foinf the type 5 conections for the psu side. Same thing for the motherboard power cable. This psu got infected by the infamous nvidia power connector design flaw.

The power cable comes with a type 5 8 pin connector and they only use 6 of the pins going to a 6-pin connector with a 2-pin jumper. This is pretty much the nail in the coffin for them as far as i'm concerned. Even if you buy the premium individually s... Read More

Regardless, the supplied cables feel durable and are not too stiff.

Dont be like me when i was testing the product in my pc and the fan stopped spinning.

This psu has back side facing outlets and the 5000d case has an the area on the back side completely open.

Price

It's a good value but as long as you get the black version, really no reason to get white if it isn't shown.

The prices for nicely braided cable extensions is a bit much, i would have expected a higher end psu to include them out of the box.

I dont know if the packaging was damaged in shipping or delivery but there was a dent in the box it works fine though.

Came perfectly packaged and doesn't make much noise and ive got an i9 and 3090 hooked up and never gets hot.

Competitiveness

Do not use cables from a different brand.

Had a difficult time figuring out the difference between sata 3 and sata 4.
