Corsair so-dimm is worth trying even without the expo support. Xmp ram for intel laptops as opposed to expo ram that should work. The asus rog g713pv (2023) supports up to 16gb in each slot.
Cons
One of the two chips is completely defective out of the box. The box was mislabeled. These are not compatible with the dell 9730 laptop. how do you know if you have a defective chip?
