These are junk. If any portion of the chalk is just a tiny bit smaller than it's supposed to be (like the crayola chalk i have) it slips. Inherently bad design.

I previously purchased a more expensive holder but it was a pain to exchange chalk and bring the chalk down and it broke the chalk

The cosmos chalk holder was the answer to this problem

Just have to push the button to eject the chalk a little slide it out then release the button
