The back can be adjusted at almost any angle from lshaped 90° all the way down to flat

Once the arms are flat you push down on them in the centre of of the arm rests until that middle of them clicks back into place then it can be brought back up in stages — when you click the arms they become locked and make little clicky noises as the back can be pulled back up to desired angle
