I bought this little bugger because my air conditioning went out and there was two week window between when i could get a technician to my home and it was sweltering outside boy was i surprised this little man does his thing we were all very cool and quite comfortable and on top of my electric bill did not sore after the technician came we even opted to actually use the air conditioning or less and use this little boy in our sunroom and other smaller areas around the house instead of the air conditioning as much we have not been disappointed it cools the air and removes humidityeveryone should have one just like a generator in the event that an ac goes out or you just want to cool a smaller area versus the entire house

Yes while we have always run a smallroom sized dehumidifier we now have to empty the collection tray 1

You can place it on a flat surface like i showed in my provided images but the bottom of the unit has a small chunk jutting out which is used to drain the water through

Speaking of the water the fan will make high pitch beeps if the water level is low and will not stop beeping unless you turn off cool mode
