Pros
Brody steele is the new owner of a mystery bookstore. He relaxes by knitting to calm his nerves.
I like to sandwich a light, entertaining read between more serious and educational nonfiction. Reading this one has made for a most enjoyable day.
This is a good introduction to a new series. You won't be disappointed. Looking forward to the next one in the series.
Cons
You will be disillusioned. Minimal character motivation and the ending leaves a lot hanging. Nothing, nobody to like….

Quality
The character build was very well done, with several noteworthy people coming to life from the pages.
The story, the circumstances, and dialog were so unique and unexpected that i knew that i would be cozying up to every book in this series.
The characters were likable and well developed.
But i found it to be well written and decently proofed.
Price
I liked this book a great deal.
Since this was a free book as an introduction into this series, i feel i got more than my money's worth.
Not a total deal breaker but i sometimes turn two pages at a time and use the page numbers to reorient myself.
Packaging/appearance
Loved the main character in witness protection.
It was a humorous action-packed cozy lacking nothing.
