Daughter and i did it together came with all the parts and enough supplies to complete it even had instructions on what sewing tequnique and finishing knots to use where to place first stick and when to put the stuffing in and everything

The backpack itself would be very difficult for a kid to figure out and get adjusted properly on their own so we pretty much did that for her which was fine
