Pros

Craftsman garage door opener with the purple learn button on the main unit. Easy to install and programmed in less than 15 minutes. Works well and is compatible with the old craftsmen opener installed in my home.

New keypad works great for me. Cheaper than a call to the locksmith. The new keypad accepts all the number pushes perfectly.

Great product. It works, no thanks to the directions.

The instructions within the packaging were spot on. Follow written instructions carefully. Got this to avoid locking ourselves out of the house by accident.

Cons

This universal keypad is not compatible with overhead door brand openers. Other universal remotes and keypads work but not this one. This garage door opener uses a 9 volt alkaline battery, not the cr2 3 volt lithium battery listed.

Packaging/appearance

The instructions within the packaging were spot on.

I was able to reuse the previous screw holes as well.

I needed to use a different frequency setting that was suggested in the diections.

Competitiveness

After 25 years, my original craftman keypad was becoming unreliable.

I spent $12 on the c2, non-returnable, for which i have no use.

Hopefully i'll get another 20 years out of the unit.
