Pros & Cons

Pros

This craftsman sander works very well and the bag actually grabs a lot of the dust. It had no dust collector, so i especially appreciate that feature. This 1 super flexible hose comes with 4 (2 each) flexible rubber hose ends.

Easy to use and simple to put on sandpaper. More powerful, but still gentle enough to use on veneer without pummeling through. Great sander for the money it costs.

Its worth every penny in my opinion. I like it enough that i'm satisfied and don't intend on replacing it unless it ever breaks.

Cons

Do yourself a favor and spend a few more bucks and get a devault or milwaukee. It has a weird connection that definitely won't connect, except maybe to a 1 3/4 hose.

Quality

It worked great for removing material, and wore out my standard grit pads fairly quickly.

Easy to grip and stay in control.

This thing warrants more durable grit, which is a plus, in my view.

Negatives; doesnt have variable speed (not sure that i ever need it), dust collection is almost non existent with bag and hard ...  Read More

Price

Great bang for the buck, i think.

This was a good deal the only thing that would’ve made a great in the five stars if they included a couple of sample sanding pads

A good value for the price, maybe not for a hard-core laborer but for a all purpose handman or woodworking hobbyist like myself...  Read More

Probably 5 star is a little high, but nice sander for the money.

Shipping

It came a few weeks ago, and i must say, i am pleased.

Competitiveness

I have a similar dewalt orbital and the craftsman is equally good.

I was debating which sander to order until i read a magazine review comparing this sander to the dewalt, and others.

It appears to be the same sander as the dewalt, just different color and cheaper.

After doing online research i discovered that the craftsman sander and the dewalt sanders are one in the same.

If you applied any pressure i know that you are not supposed to push down they would stop spinning

The craftsman doesnt spin it vibrates until you place it on the wood and then it starts to spin

I dont think that it leaves as many marks as the others and removes more wood not sure how that happens
