Pros & Cons
Pros
My intake manifold is a 3 piece set of cast aluminum with 5mm allen hex head cap screws holding it together. It fits easily in my power access assist sheath any body looking to add some nerd torque to their multi tool bits and sockets should get this.... Read More
Life saver when trying to reach tight places. Will work nice in cramped places with not much room. It's better in almost every case except a deck, where it's better to drill it it in close, then tighten by hand.
A total lifesaver for furniture assembly. Well made, feels good in the hand, and has fine ratcheting action. Craftsman has a great lifetime warranty.
The tool itself seems good - possibly a bit fragile. It does the job great, it ratchet well. Sturdy little ratchet.
Cons
The ratchet direction selection tab/lever keeps getting flipped very easily. The direction lever has a tiny crank in it. The offset angle is very dramatic, which makes it unusable for my application.
Highlights
Quality
Well made, feels good in the hand, and has fine ratcheting action that works great in tight spaces.
Fantastic quality tool that everyone will need at some point of time.
The quality is immediately obvious - from the way it feels, the strength of the bits, the forward/back smooth ratcheting, to th... Read More
This was the most difficult clam shell i have encountered to date and when you are done you have a handful of loose parts.
Price
Good price, solid, with a good mechanism.
Even the price is reasonable for what you get.
If i had known, i would have spent $5 more at home depot and got the bigger kit that came with a holder for all of the bits.
Packaging/appearance
Whoever owns craftsman these days is obsessed with nasty clam-shell packaging.
Competitiveness
All the 1/4" bits, both craftsman's and those from both other vendor's, fit the wrench perfectly.
All the competitive offerings have a case to hold the bits and tool - not craftsman - just a unfriendly clam shell.
Because we wanted additional sizes, we purchased those separately, from two other brands.
I'm fairly sure it's also made in taiwan which is way better than the many junk tools coming from china.

There are quite a few cheap alternatives

But this one turns less space into more on account of its many teeth

The cheaper ones that aren’t offsetangles may provide better or lower clearance but at the cost of less turning capability
