Sturdy, strong, and easy to assemble. Craftsman lifetime warranty. Works as described and as intended.

Hard to use, no accuracy, inconsistent results.
This is the most poorly made craftsman product i've ever bought. It blows my mind that it's so *. This product is disappointing.
In most cases, this is just an expensive brick because it just lays there taking up space. This is quite large. First off it’s just big and awkward to use.

The button has a weird feeling and for some reason, keeps picking up electrical current in walls with no electrical.
My video is pretty bad but it shows the prgression of the stud locating & the detection of ac circuits around 9 seconds.
Price
Selling for about $20, the price is competitive.
About what i would expect from a $12 cheapie but not for close to $40.
Competitiveness
I also have a zircon l50 and this gives me less problems than that one.
This isn't the best onnthe market, but it's far from crap.

The ac detection is nice in theory but i find it alarms in places that i wouldnt expect to find electrical wires

The machine will beep when it is near wires i notice a lot of people reviewing this have mentioned that it is inaccurate

The sensor can pick up the wires from several inches away and the you have to hone in on them i think this is maybe why people are getting wild results with this

I will say i dont like how you have to hold the button down continuously while sliding the sensor across the wall

If you are really questioning the accuracy of your stud finder you can double check by placing a very strong magnet to the wall where it says there is a stud
