The spring is much better than the stock extruder for the ender 3.
I normally purchase the basic black creality extruder, but thought the grey aluminium would he an upgrade.
You wont find a better bowden extruder at this price point.

Otherwise have a spare motor to use or else this will not fit the newer stock z axis motor

This is basically the same as the plastic one except for the spring tension screw setup motor gear it the same size as mine is pressed on didnt use the new gear on my stepper motor the shaft on my was short unlike the one you see in the picture in the creality page so my printed gear wont work

Motor has 4240 sticker on it it is different from the other motors which has the longer shaft with 4234

Out of the box the ender 3 pros included extruder will work fine but the failure of the plastic parts kept under constant tension is inevitable
