Pros & Cons
Pros
The only thing that this machine would need upgrading is a pei build plate and direct drive. The print quality is good after taking the time to dial in the z offset.
First and foremost the best feature of this printer is the bed size. The bed clips do take up some space. The build size is generous.
Just like the s1, the max neo has a dual z-axis with a synchronization belt. The disadvantage is that i had to set the z offset. Dual z motor with a timing belt on the top to boot.
The next challenge is to configure this printer in my preferred slicer. Configuring the printer was a bit challenging. The advantage of this is that unlike the biqu printer, leftover filament will not skew the leveling.
Cons
There are zero instructions with the printer, you have to go online to find them, and even then they're minimal for troubleshooting. Tried cutting different angles in the end with no success other than wasting filament.
Highlights
Quality
This printer is a bit on the expensive side, but it’s quality is excellent.
The print quality is good after taking the time to dial in the z offset.
The biggest difference between the max neo and the s1 is that the max neo does not come with the sprite extruder.
Packaging/appearance
This printer is nearly perfect right out of the box.
Everything you need to get printing right out of the box.
Competitiveness
I have a creality cr-10s, which was my first printer so i learned a lot through getting to know that model.
Not a professional but as a hobbyist this works great.
Be sure to buy some extra filament with this as it only comes with a 200g roll and in my experience the small roll did not work... Read More
My first printer was a creality ender 3 pro.
