Pros & Cons
Pros
Roar 2 is a great little unit that punches well above its size. Occasionally the sound drops out for half a second, bot other than that, the sound quality is exceptional.
The roar's bass reaches deep and makes you feel the music in a way that you can't get with headphones. For the money, this is the best. Omni directional seems to be the preference right now but i like to back my speaker into a wall and have it head to... Read More
Great sound quality and loudness. But that's just me being picky, its a epic speaker especially for 70$. Amazing highs and lows for a speaker around 100 bucks. Would buy again.
I use it on my nightstand for music from my phone or tablet. Bluetooth connectivity is instant and flawless.
Cons
It connects for 20 seconds and then completely shuts down. Met no luck thereafter despite having taken all troubleshooting steps.
I now understand why they added all the unnecessary features; to make up for its lack of quality sound. It seems that two years is all the batteries will last.
Max volume is atrocious. Mic does not work via usb, therefore the roar is useless for web meetings/ skype/etc.
Highlights
Quality
The device appears well made with mostly heavy robust construction.
The speaker was great overall, i love the quality of the sound.
Nice speaker system but after the battery dies (~4 years) the unit is then useless.
It does not have the sound quality of a full stereo nor should it be expected.
Price
Value for money and very satisfied with it, i use it mainly with my ps4, plug and play, loads of bass, much better than my old creative 2.
Its a money for value product especially on sale
But that's just me being picky, its a epic speaker especially for 70$.
Competitiveness
Mid's and bass are good for a unit like this, just comparing to others i have heard in this price range i got a steal of a deal... Read More
The sound is not as good as the larger edifier bluetooth bookshelf speakers i recently purchased for my pc.
