Pros

Used for snorkelling for a week in rather calm sea. Keeps most of the water out, the mouthpiece is comfortable, and the purge valve works well. Works with a small float that blocks off the air inlet at the top.

Guess it depends what angle it gets dipped at

Than its a very annoying cleanup

But if you get it dirty becomes worse than simple snorkel

There is however a problem which other reviewers here have noted as well that the dry mechanism has a habit of sealing itself shut when you go more than about 58m at the upper limit of this range this issue occurs after practically every dive below the surface presumably because the water pressure exceeds the buoyancy of the dry guard

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This can be problematic to fix when in the water because the splash guard makes it very difficult to access the end of the snorkel

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

A solution is removing the mouthpiece before diving although obviously this does defeat the purpose of using a dry snorkel

Taking away that 1 star just because its costly

Didnt let a drop of water in when on the surface and provided a true seal against water getting in when i was diving down to explore you wouldnt be able to suck any water in by accident
