The cleaning power is pretty good, my retainers looks much cleaner after soak.
I was told to wash it with soap, hot water and a brush everyday and overtime it just got gross and stained yellow.
The long soak time would be a problem if i wear the retainers constantly and want to disinfect right in 3 minutes.

Competitiveness
These tablets do take longer to dissolve than my other brand, so i break them apart into as small of pieces as i can.
I've been using this type of tablet retainer cleaner for years, but this is the first time that i've tried the crest brand.
They do a much better job than the walmart branded tablets that claim to be just like polident.
The ingredients are even similar to retainerbrite but in a slightly different order (shown in photo).

When i get back at night i still see bits of the tablet in the water though its mostly dissolves and goes away when i disturb the container
