It works great still. It definitely is a keeper. Oh, so cute.

It makes 4-6 servings which is good for dinner, and lunches tomorrow. For about $20, this is a great way to get some great tasting meals. It cooks beans within 3-4 hours perfectly and suits my needs perfectly.

Rival 5025wg 2-1/2-quart crockpot is a great size for smaller quantities. Most crock pots come in a standard family size design of around 4 to 6 quarts or more. I have a 6 quart crock-pot and sometimes it is too big for just my husband and i.

The crock is easy to clean--i spray with a bit of pam if it is a recipe that might warrant it. My other crockpot is auto.

Cons

The lower setting is too high. It just boils instead. And it makes a mess. Even on the low setting, my overnight cereals burn. Would not recommend.

The new crock pot doesn't get hot enough to leech lead out of the glaze anyway.

If preferred a roux of the meat juices and flour can be well beaten and then added to the pot instead at the near end of cook time.

All in all, a very good and quite satisfactory purchase, especially considering the low price of this model.

I found this crock pot on sale at meijer for $7.

However for about $20, this is a great way to get some great tasting meals pretty cheaply.

Mine did arrive all white--the crock and the outer metal portion--and that is fine.

As i unpacked it i realized that i had bought this very same size when i was first-married.
