L bowl is heavy and can be used on a hob without any problem. Cooked meat and veg beautifully. Now has freezer full of veg soup, casseroles and curries.

Simple to use, one dial controls everything. Much lighter than my previous slow cooker. Does the same amazing job as my old one did.

Slow cooker has 3 heat settings- high, low and keep warm. Two flames for low, three flames for high and three flames in a pot for keep cold. There is no slow cook option - it's either high, medium or just keep warm.

There are a few points worth mentioning though. This is really handy and tells you pretty much everything you need to know. It seems it's one of those items where you'll learn as you go along.

On high setting for 9 hours, but veggies hard and barely cooked. The bowl is tin and thin.
