Pros

The speed is phenomenal. The drive is light, but feels robust enough. Reliability is decent.

Popped it in and wham bam. Good to go.

The drive is not noticeably faster than a 7200rpm hdd, and very unreliable. For interactive read/writes or copying large files to or from this drive causes the write speeds to tank to 7-9 mb/s for minutes on end. All of my vm's and data on this drive ... Read More

As soon as they heat up the i/o speeds revert back to next to nothing. I spent countless hours trying to diagnose the problem. Get a samsung and spend a few $$$ more on a real ssd - like wd or samsung or rather, anything but these.

Nuh uh. If considering buying this, try tossing cash into a lit barbecue, instead. These, quite frankly - are horrific mistakes by an otherwise outstanding vendor.

Didnt pay off. Worked well for a few months but just today completely failed me. Lasted a total 5 months. No form, and no number to call. Got led to a page to fill out product info.

New ssd won’t boot up. Definitely seemed to be corrupted, either corrupted sectors or bad blocks. About a month after, it wasn't recognized by the computer and will notinitialize.

Solid drive was easy to transfer data and then resize drive for maximum storage

This drive seems to be a quality drive and does almost everything right

Changed drive reinstalled windows and basically had a new computer took a couple hours to do the whole thing first time too

Boot from shutdown takes about 30 seconds and saving an extremely large data base file dropped from 35 seconds to 3 seconds

Price

It was a great upgrade for under 50

Gave me the storage i needed at a good price

I got 2 of these in 1023 and payed 75

It will be worth 5 less by then ltgringt

Shipping

The crucial bx500 ssd was an easy replacement and amazon delivered it quickly

Needed for a quick repair for a family member and got it next day

But this shipment has been at a ups facility only 15 miles from me for four days

The ssd came in excellent packaging and was works as expected
