Attached to the type c input port of my beelink u59 the x9 gave transfer rates around 400 mbs.
Device small enough for portability but not to small to be easily lost.

I bought this ssd for around £59 in december and it has been fantastic!
It offers exceptional performance at a price point that won't break the bank.
Considering sale price it was a good purchase.
Yes, this is pricey for someone in my shoes.
Packaging/appearance
I have to admit: when i got the package, i was expecting something heftier.
Competitiveness
In terms of value for money, the crucial x8 is hard to beat.
Other than samsung, who is still my go to for internal drives, i'm happy to recommend and use crucial.
Still worked out better value than other ssds i could find, so not too disappointed though!
I recommend this if you want to buy a reliable and known brand company to store your data on.

Looks really good and you can fit it almost anywhere my only problem is that sometimes the transfer speeds can decrease randomly whether its because the thing gets too hot or because im using a different cable which says it can handle the ssd idk

I wanted a device i could plug into my pixel phone using otg for extra storage

When the ssd arrived i plugged it into a pc which reported the format as exfat

However the first time i plugged it into my phone the phone said it needed formatting which was a bit concerning

I formatted it from the phone then plugged it back into the pc which again reported it as exfat

I then ran some tests copying files using the pc and checking i could read them back when the ssd was plugged into the phone using otg

Then wd pulled support for the product leaving owners with a non internet facing home cloud brick as they shut down their servers
