Took a bit longer to arrive than stated. Works like a charm. Great price and prompt delivery too.
Bought two of these for my imac 5k late 2015 17. Bought to use with synology ds918+ nas. Used with macbook (aluminium shell) late 2008. Also used with imac and nas.
Made a huge difference. Both for web browsing and general productivity.
Cons
The intel celeron j3455 cpu in the ds918+ is technically able to utilise 2 x 8 gb but getting it to work is not 100% guaranteed and is not supported by synology either. Didn't work in my late 2009 mac mini. Made my computer force reboot every few minu... Read More

Competitiveness
Took me a while to find the right kind of ram and this works for a synology nas 412+.
I bought this to replace original 2gb ram with 4gb ram in macbook pro (13-inch, mid 2009).
I'm sure this memory is great but for the benefit of other this ram does not work in a qnap ts-453b.
8gb to 24gb for less than 80 pounds.

I updated my late 2008 macbook to yosemite and it became so slow to the point where it was unworkable lots of spinning wheels and a lifetime to load anything
