Pros
Read and write speed as advertised. Great drive so far. It's about 2000mbs faster than my western digital 1tb even on a pcie 4. Gb a second for reads and 5. Gb per second for writes. Another is my t500 2tb.
Vertical mounted gpu gives this drive more space for air flow between the board and gpu. Idle 40c. Never see any abnormal temp.
Cons
This is another example of manufactures releasing a product that is clearly not ready for even beta testing. Terribly disappointed in this product.

This drive runs very hot and under load, peaks over 85c and throttles down. Disappointed in thermal performance. Performance throttles after about 20 minutes to be worse than my sata spinning drive.
Both tcg utilities show that the does support hardware encryption, but it isn't enabled/activated, and there seems to be no way to enable/activate it.

All around great drive been using it for game storage and its super fast and a great upgrade for me
0 drives and they seem to last forever
Img and appdata folder on this drive, my media scanning in plex is wicked fast!
Price
A little pricey but definitely worth the gen 5 performance!
Very fast and at a comparatively good price.
I had an unexpected sale and got a t500 for a cheap rate, a 1tb model.
I recommend spending the extra $ only if you have a gen5 board.
Shipping
Amazon was awesome on the phone, creating a return and expediting a replacement overnight.
Contacted amazon and they quickly exchanged it.
Packaging/appearance
Originally got one that looked opened/used by the packing having the seal broken.
Competitiveness
At the time i purchased this, it was the fastest consumer nvme drive available.
I would have been better off with a 4tb gen4 for the same price, which i do have, and tested both.
I got it without heatsink(cheaper) since my motherboard has a slot for the pcie5 with better and larger heatsink.
