Bought it for my archive. It is still new, a few weeks only, so i will see how it behaves in the near future. No issues with installation.

Crucial nvme ssd will be easy to install too as all are the same. Mounted drive in usb-c m. B. A. It works great in an external enclosure. Installed in a dell 7060 micro computer.

Speeds are 2557 mb/s write and 2285mb/s read. That is plenty fast for everything i need to do which is typically just editing 4k hdr video footage on final cut pro. With a speed of 3500mbps, it is also relatively fast.

Cons

Bought a samsung 2 tb m. I'm done with crucial. I was given a full refund. I have many samsung nvme's and they do not do this.

Tried it on three computers, they all report fatal hardware error when attempting toinitialize it to gpt. The link to the website to download software is at the very end of the guide. Turned into multiple classes on troubleshooting a failed build.

After filling it to 95% capacity, my total tbw is less than 8tb.

It does not clone the recovery partitions well and they are useless after cloning.

For 71 cents nore buy a 5000mbs 500gb drive

I wouldn't recommend it for gaming unless you're in a budget

Competitiveness

As a point of comparison, also running sk hynix gold p31 2tb as boot drive which idles around 45°c.

Even the p3 is a lot faster than a sata ssd.

With the same performance and often better reliability as some other higher priced brand there's no need to look any further.

The p3 is pcie 3 only, but even cheaper than the pcie 4 model.
