Pros & Cons
Pros
The 5000mb/second blistering read speed is phenomenal and the lower heat dissipation is welcomed. Everything i do on the nas, from the video streaming to the seven 4k video cameras running 24/7 all perform much faster. Bought on sale for around 80 buc... Read More
Picked up relatively cheap but dependable enclosure and had a slim, fast and dependable external drive. Installation was a breeze, it fits totally fine in the m. Slot. This ssd is probably the cheapest pcie 4. I am happy to have the extra 4tb however ... Read More
Cons
Prices are cheap for a reason ygwypf. Maybe zero qc. Either the device is defective or falsely advertised. However, the sticker tag on box and the sticker on the stick show p3 plus is not.
Crucial's ram is phenomenal, but this ssd without the firmware installed is garbage. Ssd only reaches 1.
For people like me, this is just a luxury backup/longterm storage drive that i won't get much usage out of. No availability to format within windows. Returned it to amazon and purchased a samsung. Can't be formatted nor seen on bios.
Troubleshot the issue by reinstalling the original m. It's supposed to work in all pcie 3. Unfortunately it could not be initialized either. Well it turns out initially it doesn't work either, so i start a search.
Highlights
Quality
Super simple to install, windows 11 went on flawlessly from a usb, and has been steady as a rock since install.
Plugged and play into my new pc build, with no issues.
6tb remaining after the cloning process i now have a powerhouse of a device
You can do this only by booting your computer into safe mode and then pressing f2 before your acer splash screen after reboot.
Price
I think for the price it's great
Not the most expensive for a 4tb nvme and has decent performance haven't had any issues and very fast write speed.
I could have return it just in case, but i did get a good price during prime days.
Don’t usually buy this brand , but the price point was too good to pass up.
Shipping
And speed delivery is what it says also.
Packaging/appearance
The nvme arrived in a very tattered box, like the box has been open, contents used, repacked, and then returned.
Samsung spends more on their packaging too which to me means diddly squat.
My only complaint is that it seems i got a returned one, as the software was missing and the package already seemed opened, but... Read More
Competitiveness
I also conducted a nvme read/write test using crystal disk mark and the result came very close to the advertised rated 5000mb/s.
I needed to increase the hard drive size for some older dell computers so we could upgrade them to win11.
It provides information very similar to crystal disk info but has a feature named "momentum cache" turn on or off.
Very similar to gpu and cpu throttling to lower temps.
