Benchmarking shows this drive easily reaching the advertised readwrite spec this was tested as the boot drive on win 11 pro asus z790 e gaming mobo13900k cpu and team group 32gb ddr5 7200 the crucial t700 was cooled using the rather large integrated motherboard heatsink and never went over 55c during benchmarking which is well below the throttling point

Goods news though with the release of pcie gen 5 gen 4 drives have dropped significantly in price

So if your building a new pc and on a budget stick with pcie gen 4 for now and use the extra cash and get a better graphics card

Make sure you have a motherboard has a pcie gen5 if not it will run on a gen 4 motherboard but not as fast
