Cons
Should have gone for samsung. Terrible unreliable ssd and even worse customer service from crucial. I’m sure amazon will refund but this is useless when i need to try and recover the data. Avoid all crucial/micron products if your from canada!
The drive is clearly defective as any attempts to test the read/write speeds or use the drive in general constantly result in drive stalls. When windows does a disk scan, most of the time error checking scanner stops to work somewhere in the middle.
Very slow when copying large files like 4k video. Gigs copy takes more than 30minutes. Speed drops to 55 mb/s once it reaches half capacity. Peak speeds are usually around 30mb/s transferring data.
Each cell wears out significantly faster than tlc (triple), mlc (multi/dual), and slc (single) the speed falls to 14 mb/s read /write.
