Pros

The download speeds are blazingly fast. The read and write speed are super fast. Need for speed unbound, the witcher 3, and gta 5 all play smooth. No noticeable slowdown compared to unencrypted backups.

Cons

The drives that i received have no hardware encryption. Nowhere near the speculated 1000mb speed sadly. Not trusting crucial with my crucial files again.

To me, this is inexcusable and a huge mistake on their part. And what a shame for a well designed, well engineered product.

It’s not cheap, but my library is priceless, so it’s an easy upgrade to justify.
