Pros

Port speed to my comp comes in as advertised at 1gb. Throughput is excellent. Auto speed negotiation.

Very surprised and pleased. Works like it is supposed to. It works as advertised.

The performance is great, and the case is sure rugged. Minor 1. Nice sturdy metal casing. Nice small switch.

In service and working flawlessly for just under 24h of this writing. Has suffered a couple of power outages and never failed. The external power supply is a great advantage over the usb powered units.

It is not reliable. Fails to negotiate above 100base-t. Has packet drop rates of ~30% on all ports.

Works great with my devices and most of all doesnt get extremely hot like others that i had before and its metal casing makes it sturdy.

Good quality switch, works right after connected, it had metal cover and feel solid in hand, i never habe to wait loading any more.

This 8-port gigabyte switch was very inexpensive and has solved my need perfectly.

Works as advertised and at a great price.

This one actually was less expensive than the other one.

It's increased the efficiency with minimal cost.

Competitiveness

Otherwise i love the rear access for the rj45s instead of the dorky in front jacks of competitors.
