Quality
Was purchased as a gift, so i’m not personally using them, but they seem to be happy with the pans.
Have always heard cuisinart associated with quality and value.
Overall, i'm satisfied with the purchase (and i paid about $30 more than they are now selling for).
Other than boiling water i never cook with the highest flame.
Price
This is such good basic cookware and at such a good price.
I think they are not worth the price.
Packaging/appearance
I loved these pans as soon as i pulled them out of the box.
I have other newer pans used for everyday (copper infused), but the coating on the t-fal set wore off and i don't want contaminated foods.
Competitiveness
I have been using this set for about 8 years now and it's great--so much so that i bought this one for my just-out-of-college sibling.

Why these manufacturers try to get away with stating these sets as they do

You cannot cook on the lid or bake an item on the lid supplied

These manufacturers began stating pieces back in the day when restaurant supply companies and manufacturers made lids that were actually dual purpose heavy steamer lids that could be placed directly on a grill weighted flat round grill weights that were lids etc and could be counted as cookware so they began to follow suit though the lids supplied today cannot be used as separate cookware but are counted as such to up the number and mislead consumers

That pan was dangerously hot when i went back to the kitchen and the insides were totally burned
