Pros
I find a brewers gallon jar (the one use for making kombucha) is great for keeping it and straining with cheesecloth works perfectly. Easy to disassemble and clean.
It beautifully cooks a pound of food at a time though and holds the heat very well. It also holds a tad more than most others on the market. Heats evenly and accurately.
Cons
For a bigger sized deep fryer, it actually isnt that big. Was expecting more frying space. You have to ship back to cuisinart by a insured carrier (fedex etc) at your expense.

Easy clean up, so i can't say enough about the quality of this.
The quality is decent, about what we would expect in this price range.
Looks deceiving, with the shallow pan, but it holds a good size of whatever you are going to fry.
I thought it had a way to get rid of the grease smell when using this product.

In fact in retrospect i should have given it 5 stars despite the shallow basket

With the shallow basket though the battered fish tended to stick to the bottom unless you held it at the top of the oil with tongs for about 30 seconds or so

One small issue there are little silicon 34flaps34 in the slots if the kid where the handle fits through and these were already deteriorating after the first couple of uses so we just tore them out they seem like more of a gimmick anyways and not all that useful

Also if the fryer is really cooking the window in the lid isnt much yes

Thats okay with me as i am fine with taking the lid off and for most uses i dont even bother with the lid

The lid does work well though when used to release steam but keep down splatter and smell

So in overall summarypros heat is stable and recovers quickly

Things to think about before buying oil level and basket are fairly shallow so can only cook small batches definitely would not throw in 2 pounds of food at once so its more suited to a couple and maybe not as good for familysized servings
