Pros

Clean up is a cinch - spray it while it's hot and scrape it with the spatula.

Cuisinart griddle comes with a cover and a carrying case. Comes set up for a 20lb propane tank. Being able to plug into a 20 lbs tank is the best.

The unit heats quickly and pretty evenly. The griddle plate is a very heavy quality steel surface. The whole purpose of cast iron is to retain heat --- lots of it --- to allow searing.

Cons

Not designed for regular use in my opinion just the occasional tailgate party to warm a hotdog or cook a steak. First time i used it, i fried bacon and the grease ran out all over the table.

Now the positives - huge heat that gets up to temperature quickly.

Overall, this is fantastic purchase at a great price.

Seeing this griddle now (11/25/22) selling on amazon for well over $160 or twice what i paid for it seems suspicious to me.

I had seen/considered this cuisinart before, and then it want on sale for $100.

Spend the extra few bucks for the cover and tote bag.

Shipping

It arrived from amazon the evening before my trip so i didnt have a chance to season the cook surface and it worked but it was not ideal.

I did it the day before i went to the lake, probably should have done it early in the day as it does take time.

Packaging/appearance

They should pack it better for shipping.

It arrived with big dent on the back, but worked okay.

Competitiveness

Cuisinart is a great brand that i trust and you get a great griddle at a price much lower than blackstone!

I did buy a new grill but i've been using this griddle more than the grill now.
