This model does not have waffle plates to my dismay but upon looking at this cuisinart model before i returned it

Super easy to use i use it to cook raw meat i use it to make sandwiches and paninis i think i might try eggs next on the flat side

Another issue is the hot part of each plate is more towards the middle the edges dont get nearly the same heat just due to where the element is under the plates the element only starts a few cm from the edge
