Pros & Cons
Pros
Le creuset and staub are top notch.
The cast iron construction evenly distributes heat at the low temperatures required for cooking perfect beans. Cook dried pinto, anasazi, lima, and butter beans. Using the more expensive pot and the cheapest pot.
Cast-iron casserole. A great utensil at a great price. The top pan cover is also nice and heavy to seal in the moisture for the bread.
Cons
Two years later this is very scratched up and a large piece of enamel chipped from where the screw is inserted into the lid. The chipping enamel especially bothers me. Not good for long cooking.
Highlights
Quality
It's worth the extra cost for the quality and stunning look.
Quality cast iron, looks good, good size.
I just couldnot justify the cost of a new le crueset, this dutch oven is really close in the quality.
Price
It works really well and i thought the price well worth it
Competitiveness
Much less expensive than le creuset and so far it is equal in every way.
I did (a 3qt and 5qt) and i'm getting 2 more sizes!
I had a le crueset dutch oven which was starting to lose the finish after 30 plus years.
