Pros & Cons
Pros
It rivals le creuset in construction while only being marginally heavier and at a fraction of the cost. It is sturdy, great capacity and i just love the colour. Very sturdy. Doesn't seems to lose its color.
The 5 qt size is perfect for a medium size batch of spaghetti sauce. Perfect for making double batches of things like stew, spaghetti sauces and soups. Good sized eyelets for holding the pot even with gloves.
The enamel on this dutch oven seems to be of superior quality than my lagostina. It has all the features an enameled cast iron dish should have. The ceramic coating inside is very durable and the finish on the outside looks great.
It is easy to clean in hot soapy water. Sometimes i need to use a simple dish brush or plastic scouring pad for baked on food. I've found that soaking the cookware in water for 15 minutes makes everything easier.
It literally lives on my stovetop. Can't wait to use it to bake bread and braise some short ribs or lamb shanks. I love that it goes from cooktop to oven.
