You must find at least one wall stud to screw into for a secure mount wallboard and a wall anchor for all mounting screws will not get it done

While my home has studs 24 inches on center i know that many homes have studs 18 inches on center but i have never heard of homes having studs 16 inches on center

That being said i drilled a hole in the center of the flat part and then mounted it to a stud using the hole i had drilled and the hole in the vertical support arm

I used the 2 original holes by using toggle bolts

Probably should come with extra hooks so you can hang pans lower
