Pros

It is amazingly fast at pureeing anything we've tried so far. Reconnecting the lower part with a single push is easy as well. Less fuss than a food processor.

I have very little wear on the shaft connector. Well worth the money and have had zero problems with it.

Cons

The rotating blade at the bottom of the blender breaks off the rotating metal shaft. When the shaft fails (and it will in ~2 years) it is cheaper to just buy a new one. Both this unit and the csb-75 use the same gear design, which has failed me in the... Read More

The warranty is not a warranty. They tell me i have to pay shipping & handling for a replacement unit, which for this item is $10.

I am extreemly disapointed with cuisinart. The product is junk and the company does not stand behind thier product. Very disappointing and inconvenient.

The cuisinart stick blender is simply gray/silver-colored plastic. It has been used solely to puree soups in the pot. Land fills with low grade failed blender sticks.

I've purchased it 7 years ago for a very good price .

The price is now literally 5x what i paid all those years ago.

Basically, it's a decent blender but the price is high for what it is.

Competitiveness

It will never come apart again, and has continued to work like a champ.

Also you can make whipped cream using the provided container like a champ.
