Pros

This model had no discernible flaws in its performance. The design is sleek. The only drawback to me personally, is the interface.

Cons

Water reservoir is not the easiest to access. The only way to get all the water out of the pot and into the maker is to dribble it very slowly. The drip basket regularly clogs and overflows. Operation of the carafe lid is unwieldy.

This is the third cuisinart coffee maker i have owned over the last 20 years and it is by far not the best. It was definitly not an inexpensive coffeemaker and one of the things that i wanted when purchasing a new coffee maker was the automatic brew.

Overall, i think it is a bit overpriced, even if the burner issue had not arisen. The burner issue really brings the score down.

Don’t fill the reservoir to the max (14 cup) and expect only 4 cups to be brewed.

Looks ok but a little cheaper than the pictures.

If you can’t tell the difference between two cups of coffee or are on a budget, buy this machine.

Competitiveness

I had a technivorm moccamaster before and the flavor of the coffee was simply better than the cuisinart.

This is my third cuisinart coffee maker of a similar type and it is hands down the my favorite!

I will never buy another brand again.

It makes 14 cups, two cups more than my other cuisinarts.
