I usually dread making bacon because of the mess but i just left the grill sides of the plates exposed grill not griddle put it on high and closed the lid

The lid needs to be unlocked if you want it to come down parallel to the bottom grill for making things like paninis

I purchased this refurbished unit but it arrived missing the drip plate

I had to return it for a refund the only solution amzn had they couldnt supply the missing plate
