Pros
Despite the above, we are still completely thrilled with the ice cream maker, as the end result is phenomenal. Very impressed and happy with my purchase. Really pleased with this machine.
Ice cream is ready in about 30 mins, simple to make. As long as everything is thoroughly chilled the results are perfect. The ice cream from the cuisinart is softer and easier to scoop, even straight from the freezer.
Any fruit that you have blitzed and pushed through a sieve with as much cream or sugar or as little of those as you like is always delicious. Will be trying out more flavours tomorrow.
Cons
Not even a trace of ice cream after 25 minutes of churning. If you put it in the fridge afterwards, it becomes hard as a rock. Over an hour wasted - did not harden at all.
The book i bought to go with it is useless. Such a big disappointment. I'm not one to leave negative reviews but this really annoyed me.

My only concern and surprise is the noisy motor and i mean really noisy measured at one metre distance as being average 78 db

If you want a summer fruits ice cream then buy a frozen bag of fruits from a shop let the fruit defrost sufficient to crush the fruits and berries to a pulp and stir into a vanilla ice cream mix before you make the ice cream

We were looking to replace an old small ice cream machine where the plastic arm was forever getting jammed and the motor couldnt cope with thicker mixes

Once the finished ice cream has been transferred into a plastic container it’s best left in the freezer for at least 12 hours before eating

That was a stupid decision because when it was eventually opened there was an obvious dent and it was too late to return
