Pros & Cons

Pros

This is the 3rd cuisinart mini chopper i have purchased over the course of approximately 15 years. This little food processor is full of power and does a great job of mincing and chopping.

As i age it's hard to mince and finely chop garlic, onions, herbs, etc. Great for processing just about anything from spice blends to nuts to purees to pestos and sauces. Chops even frozen food efficiently.

Cons

Every part of it is cheap plastic, even the base. It has no weight to it at all, everything is the thinnest, cheapest materials possible. No hellmans for me. They ship stainless steel colored plastic instead.

This blender is not worth $60. The inside of the blade is stripped. The spindle for the attachment just spins without grinding, shredding, mixing. This little blender quit working after just a few times using it to make a few dips.

The cuisinart recipe for mayonnaise is risible, absurd. It’s notmayonnaise. Wasn’t the right product for a smoothie.

Quality

Fast, strong blade goes both ways for different chopping or blending or grindingtruly a mini processor and chopper in one

Great product, easy to use, & clean

My first one lasted about 10 years and then the gear train (plastic) literally exploded.

The lid has small holes so you can pour oil in without taking the cover off, this did not work well for me.

Price

It was way less expensive than my previous model and way more light, but was the perfect size for the amount of food i am mixing.

I cannot complain because of the price though i wish it had better grind power.

Shipping

I would say most likely from shipping.

Item was delivered in a timely manner, and it is a very good product.

Competitiveness

And it does a better job than my bigger processors.

This 4-cup size is much better/more convenient, for chopping small amounts of herbs and veggies, than my 11-cup cuisinart.
